Cali spera

I have experienced both of these beautiful views in real life.

If you ever have a chance to go to Greece, do it, no exceptions. It is the most wonderful and beautiful place. I miss the summer I spent traveling across Greece - it made time and life stand still for those few short weeks.

Office Plants

I bought myself an office plant. It is small, sits on my desk and is in a small fishbowl of rocks. I can't tell you how much it livens up my office. It is nice to have something green in here, brightens up the place.

I bought four books, all about branding and marketing so that I can continue to self-educate myself sans a university lifestyle. Post-degree learning is very difficult to do on your own, but I think it will only add value to my career stock in time.

The cardinal came back, but I think it was his friend who was told of the wonderful window sill. Because the first cardinal had a very bright orange beak, this one, was yellow.

Tell-tale work relationship

This perfectly explains how some days at work seem to be. From the Baton Rouge Advocate:

...inspiration...

Yesterday a cardinal flew to my office window and began tapping his beak furiously against the window, almost as if he was coming to my office for a meeting and I was running late and wasting his time.

After about a minute of furious knocking, he stopped and just stared inside, with a confused look like a "well hello, I'm here, why aren't you letting me in?"

It was a nice break from the day, to see something so beautiful so close up and so human-like. He stayed for a few minutes, grew weary and flew away again - maybe to the next meeting or next window. I hope he comes back, it would be nice to visit again.

I'm in search of new music. Good, deep, emotional, hearty music. I have my old favorites, but I want really dig into a new artist, new lyrics and new emotions.

Swingline staplers

I will under-promise and over-deliver.
I'm Stephanie.
I'm a public information officer, therefore, my job is to inform you the public of the goings-ons that affect you and your interests.

My days are filled with staplers, paper clips, post-it notes, status meetings, staff meetings, AP style, day planners, delivered lunches, media calls, schedules, boxes, reprints, marketing collateral, press releases, supplies, Fed-Ex, recycled brochures, questions and thank you very muches.

But there is so much more to me than my writing style and my professional dress.

Music, poetry, writing, chocolate milk, crab dip, Scope, Dr Pepper, exercise (yeah right), photo albums, car rides, nostalgia, steam cleaners, Izzo's, picture frames, bed time and so much more.

Stay tuned.
